Our beautiful Risaralda decaf is a washed process coffee that comes from the same region we source our house staple, Santuario. The coffee is decaffeinated using the sugarcane method - the solvent being a naturally occurring byproduct of sugarcane production - at Descafecol in Manazales. As the coffee and sugarcane are sourced within the same country as the decaffeination plant, there is a very low carbon footprint, particularly when compared to other decaf methods which require additional shipping to and from the countries other decaf plants are in.
Expect a deep, rich cup of coffee with sweet nut and gentle fruit notes.
